The 2010 edition of the National Physician Survey is underway

Canada’s most comprehensive survey of physicians has now been officially launched, with questionnaires and electronic invitations distributed to physicians from coast to coast. Please note that the survey is not available on this website. Please check your mail or email for your copy and personalized access code. Medical students and residents will get their opportunity to participate this fall.

The NPS is an important opportunity for physicians and future physicians to inform and influence key decision makers about their profession and patients. Survey responses will help identify priorities and interests of Canada’s doctors and bring clarity to important issues including health human resources, changing scopes of practice, barriers to care and access to care.

We call on all physicians, medical residents and students to complete the survey, providing us with information to contribute to informed decision-making regarding our healthcare system. Please complete the 2010 National Physician Survey questionnaire.

Like the previous editions in 2004 and 2007, the 2010 NPS is once again made possible by the collaboration of the Canadian Medical Association, The College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. In addition to these organizations, funding for NPS 2010 has been provided by the Canadian Institute for Health Information.
